Biography
Associate Professor Valerie Du Toit-Low is the Deputy Associate Provost (Residential Education) at Nanyang Technological University. In this role, she directs and oversees the implementation of the NTU Residential Education plan in alignment with the university’s educational vision and mission. Residential Education is an integral part of NTU Education to enhance learning beyond the formal curriculum within the Halls of Residence. Valerie is also the Senior Faculty-in-Residence of Hall 10. These two roles have provided her with several years of management experience in overseeing student development and well-being. Her role as a teacher and mentor is something that she values greatly. She has won several university teaching awards for both her undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She is well-placed to drive and implement a residential education plan that provides students with new opportunities to learn and experiment in an outstanding campus environment, with the development of the holistic individual as its hallmark.
