Biography

Phillip Grant is an Assistant Professor at School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), NTU. Phillip's lab is focused the development of new chemical reactions for the synthesis of complex bioactive small molecules. He completed his PhD in 2020 under the supervision of Dist. Prof. Dame Margaret Brimble and Dr. Daniel Furkert at the University of Auckland, NZ. Phillip then joined the lab of Prof. Nuno Maulide as a Lise Meitner postdoctoral fellow, where he worked on the development of synthetic methods and chemoenzymatic total synthesis. In 2023, Phillip began his independent career under the Nanyang Assistant Professorship scheme.
