Biography

Dr. Cheuk-Wai SO is currently in the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences as Assistant Professor since August 2008. He received his Bachelor and Ph.D. degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was an Assistant Professor in the Chinese University of Hong Kong before working as a Humboldt Research Fellow at the Universität Göttingen in 2005. Prior to joining NTU, he was a JSPS Research Fellow at the University of Nagoya. He was awarded with Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship, Humboldt Research Fellowship and JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship. His current research interests lie in the field of low valent silicon chemistry, catalysts for olefin polymerization and functional materials based on boron containing π-conjugated system.
