Biography
Dr. LEE Zheng-Wei, aLex possesses strong interest in interdisciplinary education. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) doing interdisciplinary Double Majors in Life Sciences and Chinese Studies (National University of Singapore). His latter Ph.D. in Biochemistry (National University of Singapore) focused on drug discovery targeting cancer metabolism and metastasis. In his subsequent educator career, he embarks on continuing education and attained the PGCert in Adult Learning (Singapore University of Social Sciences). After which, he is accredited as a Specialist Adult Educator (SAE) by the Institute for Adult Learning Singapore. He is now pursuing his MA in Education and Technology at University College London, UK.
Before joining LKC Medicine, Dr. aLex taught Molecular and Cell Biology and Scientific Presentation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also conducted CET course in medical sciences. He had experience mentoring students in research and oversea expedition projects. As an informed educator, he conducts education research and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). His current research interests focus on blended learning design, application of technology in education and student’s engagement in learning.
