Abstract

In this paper, a low-complexity enhancement is proposed for multicarrier code division multiple access (MCCDMA) with Orthogonality restoring combining (ORC). The proposed modifed ORC scheme omits the weakest subcarrier in the ORC combining operation. Though with such simple modifcation, the proposed scheme is demonstrated to perform impressively close to the optimal minimum mean square error combining (MMSEC) scheme.
