N2 - The application of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in biosensing has offered many interesting protocols and device architectures. In this work, we presented a new all-plastic microfluidic transistor which is based on SWCNT for biosensing applications. The new device architecture is facile to fabricate, and consisted of only two materials: poly-(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) and SWCNTs. The real-time sensing performance here is demonstrated through competitive immuno-detection of herbicide 2, 4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2, 4-D) up to partsper-trillion (ppt) levels in aqueous media. Selectivity of the device is demonstrated by exposing the device toward non-pairing proteins, such as bovine serum albumin (BSA).
