Abstract

This paper presents a novel configuration for dual-mode cylindrical cavity filters operating in the TE111 mode. The proposed configuration is compact yet simple, with only one coupling probe to excite two orthogonal TE111 modes in a cylindrical waveguide cavity. A prototype is designed to operate at 10 GHz. Simulated and experimental results are provided.
