Abstract

This chapter provides up-to-date information about the prevalence, clinical features, pathogenesis, and pathophysiology of important inflammatory and autoimmune disorders that primarily affect the skin - psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, scleroderma, dermatomyositis, cutaneous lupus erythematosus, and generalized vitiligo. It outlines currently used diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to manage these debilitating skin diseases.
