Diastereoselective cobalt-mediated acylation-cyclization of allenes

Abstract

Allenes with α-oxygen and γ-sulfonamide substituents were synthesized and cyclized to pyrrolidines using an acyl cobalt reagent. The reactions proceeded with very high trans selectivity.
