Abstract

Anatase TiO 2 nanowires have been directly synthesized via a one-pot solvothermal approach. The curved nanowires with a length of ca. 300 nm and a diameter of ca. 10 nm are grown along the [101] direction and assembled into hierarchical structures. After annealing, the anatase TiO 2 nanowires perfectly retain the nanostructure, and manifest excellent photocatalytic activity for the degradation of Rhodamine B.
