Abstract
By analysis of energy and resource situation with coal industry in China, the coupling of multi-resource and multi-product coal polygeneration system and eco-industrial parks should be introduced to retrofit the current industry to form a new coal-based energy and chemical engineering structure. From a long-term view, the eco-industrial system of coal gasification polygeneration will be the major direction and inevitable trend of China's coal utilization in the future, which will benefit from three aspects of environment, energy, and economy. On the above base, the key technology and problems in that industry is discussed, and the current situation and the future of ecological industrial parks are analyzed, and some problems that ought to be solved are pointed out.
