Abstract
This paper is concerned with dual-feed cavity-backed slot antennas operating at 2.4 GHz. Two modes of excitation are considered for the dual-feed antennas: pseudo-differential feed and common mode feed. Four configurations are described for these two modes excited at the same side or the opposite sides of the slot. With the use of a carefully designed power distribution network, dual-feed slot designs are realized for a wide bandwidth, high gain, and symmetric radiation patterns. Measured results are in good agreement with simulated ones.
