Abstract

Figure 2, on page 8847 in the article: Regretfully, Figure 2 was published with a labeling error. Originally, the Ca2+ and the CO3 2- ions were erroneously labeled as orange and blue, respectively. Figure 2 with corrected labels is shown here, wherein the labels for the Ca2+ and the CO3 2- ions are now indicated in blue and orange, respectively. The correction is also made in the figure legend. The same errors of inverting calcium and carbonate ions were also found in the legends of Figures 3 and 4. The corrected legends are as follow: Figure 3. (corrected legend). Ion density maps for CClow (0.12 M Ca2+and CO3 2- ions). MrCP20 is represented in white cartoon. The occupancy maps for calcium are shown in blue mesh and carbonate in orange mesh. Three cluster sites are identified where the ions probe interactions with the surface of MrCP20 during the MD simulations. Residues engaged in interactions at (a) site 1 (S1); (b) site 2 (S2); and (c) site 3 (S3) are highlighted in white sticks. Figure 4. (corrected legend). Ion density maps for CCmedium (0.67 M Ca2+ and CO3 2- ions). MrCP20 is represented in a white cartoon. The occupancy maps for calcium are shown in blue mesh and carbonate in orange mesh. Three cluster sites are identified where the ions probe interactions with the surface of MrCP20 during the MD simulations. Residues engaged in interactions at (a) site 1 (S1); (b) site 2 (S2); and (c) site 3 (S3); (d) site 4 (S4) is highlighted in white sticks. The authors apologize for the error in the labels. The unintentional labeling errors do not affect the observations, data analysis, and conclusions in this article.
