Abstract

A method of using clay slurry filled geotextile bags (or geo-bag) to construct levees is introduced in this paper. A case study of using this method to construct an offshore levee is presented. A method to use cast-in-situ concrete mat to protect the slopes of levees is also introduced. These methods can also be used for disaster mitigation and rehabilitation of damaged levees.
