Abstract

This paper summarizes recent progress in two families of living radical polymerization using organic catalysts. These polymerizations are amenable to homopolymerization and random and block copolymerization of several monomers such as styrenes, methacrylates, acrylates, acrylonitrile, and their functional monomers. Star polymers and surface brush polymers are also obtainable. Both thermal heating and photo irradiation can be used to induce the polymerization.
