Abstract

The unique structural, electronic, and mechanical properties of graphene sheets underpin their usage as nano-building blocks for novel macroscale three-dimensional (3D) structures. Over the past few years, a variety of 3D macroscopic graphene structures have been successfully prepared for promising applications in nanoelectronics, energy storage and conversion, composites, and so on. In this chapter, we will present the reader with a broad and detailed overview of the recent developments in the assembly of graphene sheets into 3D macroscopic structures and their applications. The future prospects of graphene in this exciting field are also enumerated to direct inquiring minds.
