Abstract

This paper deals with an economic single-phase to three-phase converter that has a reduced number of switching devices and avoids the use of the input filtering inductance. The rectifier is able to operate with unity, power factor. Sinusoidal PWM and space-vector modulation strategies are applied to the inverter. A new way to add zerophase sequence using space-vector modulation has been proved.
