Abstract

The preparation of novel aromatic POSS-anhydride epoxy resins based on 5-(2,5-dioxotetrahydrofurfuryl)-3-methyl-3-cyclohexyl-1,2-dicarboxylic acid anhydride have been reported. Tests have shown that resin properties such as thermal stability, glassy modulus and coefficient of thermal expansion generally improved with POSS loading.
