Abstract

A design method of infrasound noise reduction pipe arrays based on acoustic response model and swarm differential evolution algorithm is proposed. The constructive parameters are redesigned under ideal and engineering practice scenarios, and the noise reduction performances are simulated and analyzed. The simulation shows that (1) the pipe array redesigned under ideal condition achieves a noise reduction improvement of more than 5 dB in the frequency band of about 0: 1 ∼ 0: 8 Hz, with a maximum improvement of 12 dB; (2) the pipe array redesigned under engineering practice scenario achieves a performance improvement of about 3 dB at the maximum in various ambient wind speeds; (3) the constructive parameters redesigned under high wind speed condition can be applied to scenarios where the ambient wind speed is unknown or changes greatly. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method and the better noise reduction performance of the redesigned pipe array.
