Abstract

In this issue of Matter, Zhang and colleagues present a soft photo-rechargeable fabric to power body area sensor networks. It converts solar energy to electrical energy using a ZnO/CuI fabric photovoltaic cell and stores electrical energy using a Zn/MnO2 fabric battery cell. Such a soft fabric energy source provides a promising solution to seamlessly power body area sensor networks.
