Abstract
The title compound 1, obtained from the reaction of [Os3(CO)11(CH3CN)] with (CF3)2PNPPh3, has been characterized by spectroscopic and X-ray structural analyses. The osmium atoms form an approximate isosceles triangle with an equatorial site being taken up by the diphosphazene ligand. The PNP moiety is nearly linear and the two PN bonds are equivalent.
