Sequence design for optimized ambiguity function and PAPR under arbitrary spectrum hole constraint

Abstract

In this paper, a novel sequence design algorithm under spectrum hole constraint is proposed which generates sequences resilient to time delays and Doppler shifts. In practical applications, it is desirable to have sequences with not only low ambiguity function (AF) in certain delay-Doppler region, but also low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). The proposed algorithm combines energy gradient method and Hu-Liu (HL) algorithm to jointly optimize AF and PAPR.
