Abstract

A surface-energy generator (SEC) using single-walled carbon nanotubes is demonstrated to harvest the surface energy of ethanol. The SEC can drive thermistors in a self-powered system. The performance can be significantly enhanced by the Marangoni effect. These SECs show the advantages of a smaller Inner resis-tance, no moving parts, and no need for the application of an obvious external force. (Figure Presented).
