Abstract
This collection sought to bring together chapters that document and analyze the problem of fake news across different countries in Asia. While our project to investigate online falsehoods initially focused on Singapore, our research team soon realized that some of the falsehoods we had seen had already gone viral in other contexts and that what we were experiencing shared some similarities with those in other countries. So, as we conducted our studies in Singapore, our team at the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube) was also holding discussions with scholars doing similar research in other countries in Asia. From those discussions came the idea for this edited book.
