Abstract

Thermolysis of the substituted triosmium cluster Os3(CO)11(AsPh3) in refluxing nonane gave four major products: Os33-AsPh)(μ32-C6 H4)(CO)9, Os3(μ-H)(μ-AsPh2)(μ32 -C6H4)(CO)9, Os3(μ-AsPh2)232-C6H4)(CO)7 and Os33-AsPh)(μ32-C6 H4)(CO)8(AsPh3). All the new clusters have been characterised by spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray crystallographic studies.
