Abstract

Obey the hierarchy! Hierarchically structured nanocables with TiO 2 nanosheets (TiO 2-NSs) anchored on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been synthesized by growing layered hydrogen titanate (LHT) nanosheets on carbon nanotubes, followed by thermal transformation (see figure). This unique structure possesses the advantages of shortened Li + ion diffusion length and enhanced electronic conductivity, as well as high structural stability.
