Abstract
To tackle the problem of the noise interferences with weak spatial coherence, colored power distribution and similar spectral structure among channels of the microphone array, a novel Weighted Maximum Likelihood (WML) estimator was proposed under the assumption of deterministic signal and stochastic signal model. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated in the simulation. The outdoor experimental results in low SNR conditions caused by wind noise showed that the proposed algorithm could achieve better performance than the traditional DOA algorithms.
