Abstract

The 2020 International Conference on Social Media and Society (SMSociety) conference is an annual gathering of leading social media researchers, policy makers, and practitioners from around the world. Now in its 11th year, the 2020 conference is convened by the Ryerson University Social Media Lab, in partnership with the College of Communication, Studio Chi and the College of Computing and Digital Media at DePaul University. This Proceedings presents the collection of 34 accepted peer-reviewed manuscripts. The acceptance rate for this year's issue is 45%, in line with previous iterations of the conference.
